Programme overview
Combines both work-based learning and experience with intensive instructor-led training courses to build and develop relevant industry skills
Learning modules includes topics such as: IT and system operation, system management, system security, fault diagnosis, remote support for IT/telecoms, IT hardware and equipment, networking principles, technical advice and guidance, customer care
Dedicated account manager and training consultant to support employers and apprentices throughout their apprenticeship journey
Regular remote sessions using Microsoft Teams
Flexible and innovative training methods geared to different learning styles
Progression
After completing this apprenticeship, employees will have the skills and knowledge to work in supervisory or more responsible positions and deal with larger ore complex systems. They can also progress to a Diploma for IT and Telecommunications Professionals at SCQF Level 8.
Funding and financial support
Skills Development Scotland will contribute towards the training costs. For apprentices aged 16-19 years, apprenticeship training costs are 100% funded. For apprentices aged 20-24 years, a proportion of the training costs will be covered with employers meeting the rest.
