THE MODERN SLAVERY ACT DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

The Modern Slavery Act requires a commercial organisation  over a certain size to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement each financial year. The statement should disclose the steps the organisation has taken to ensure there is no slavery or human trafficking in its supply chains or its own business.

Overarching statement
 

General Physics (UK) Ltd (and subsidiary companies) strive to act ethically and with integrity in all of our business dealings to protect the human rights of workers, both within our business and supply chains. The organisation is absolutely committed to preventing slavery and human trafficking in its corporate activities, and to ensuring that its supply chains are free from slavery and human trafficking.

Our organisation
 

General Physics (UK) Ltd is part of the GP Strategies group of companies, a global performance improvement organisation and world leader in customised training, engineering and custom solutions. General Physics (UK) Ltd (and subsidiary companies) employs over 850 people in the UK and our supply chain is orientated towards the provision of professional services rather than physical goods. We provide both customised performance improvement programmes for our customers and work with employers to make a greater impact within their organisations.

Supply chain
 

The majority of our suppliers are UK based or global training providers, global suppliers of IT equipment and infrastructure, and UK based indirect consumable suppliers. As such we have no reason to believe that there is slavery or any human trafficking in our supply chains.

Key performance indicators
 

General Physics (UK) Ltd (and subsidiary companies) is a UK based services provider with no operations outside the UK and low purchase of materials, thus we consider the risk of slavery and human trafficking in our supply chain as very low and do not measure related performance indicators.

Policies
 

General Physics (UK) Ltd (and subsidiary companies) respects the human rights of its employees and is committed to a work environment in which all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and in accordance with employment laws. The Company has a number of HR policies and internal procedures in place to protect the human rights of its employees, including an anti-bribery policy and a whistle blowing policy.

Risk and compliance
 

General Physics (UK) Ltd (and subsidiary companies) regularly evaluates the nature and extent of its exposure to the risk of slavery or human trafficking occurring in its supply chain. Where we identify a potential risk we will take steps to remediate it through legitimate and proportionate processes. The Company will continue to monitor modern slavery risks within our business and supply chain.
 

Responsibility for General Physics (UK) Ltd's anti-slavery and human trafficking initiatives lies with its Board of Directors, which has approved this statement.
 

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 December 2022.
